Juzu Size Guide
Most of our Juzu designs are offered in Medium, Large and X-Large sizes, and this guide is to help clarify and clearly provide a side-by-side comparison between the sizes and help you identify which size is right for you.
Please double check the size measurements of each Juzu design you are considering BEFORE placing your order. Beads used in the main body of our Juzu have a slight variation in diameter and therefor each size (Medium, Large, X-Large) will vary depending on the Juzu design and the stones used.
It is highly recommended that you measure your current Nichiren Juzu so that you can choose a size which is most similar. If you do not currently have Nichiren Juzu, you should measure a friends Juzu for reference, or you can cut a string or thin rope and tie it in a loop to the measured Juzu circumference from our website. Then hold the string/rope between your hands as though you were holding Juzu to see which length you prefer.
You will find that individual beads are similar in size in Medium, Large and X-Large, and the number of significant beads of meaning is exactly identical. The only difference is the number of additional spacer beads in the middle section of the Juzu, just inside of the Shakyamuni and Taho beads (as shown in the photo below). The spacer beads do not hold any meaning and do not change the meaning or authenticity of the Juzu - they only provide length.
