At Lotus Lion Design our intention is to enhance & encourage the Buddha Nature within all of us - to help each and every one of us to shine brightly and confidently with happiness and compassion.

How did you start Lotus Lion Design?
Lotus Lion Design actually began because I was searching for Gemstone Nichiren Juzu for my own personal use and could not find any. I quickly realized that they are quite difficult to find, and are most certainly not sold in stores, so I decided to make my own. I studied the meaning of Juzu, learned how to make Juzu in authentic Nichiren Buddhist style and made my first set of Juzu. When I started using my Juzu, people quickly noticed and began to inquire about them, asking me where I bought them and if I could make Juzu for sale. That is when I began to realize that I could serve our Nichiren Buddhist Community as an artist and Lotus Lion Design was born.
I also wanted to design my Altar in a style that was fresh and unique, matching my personal style and home decor. Ultimately, I created my practice in a style that I loved, developing a deeper connection to my daily Daimoku Gongyo which led to a stronger faith in my Practice and appreciation for my Gohonzon. I feel that this is an important aspect of Practicing Nichiren Buddhism and I only hope that we can help fellow members around the world to develop a deeper connection themselves.
